7 things I like about the Glen Fitness Studio

  1. Socializing is always #1 with me. I enjoy interesting discussions with Barb. Meeting so many nice people there is a bonus!
  2. Feeling strong. I keep challenging my family members to arm wrestling matches. I’m pretty sure that they are terrified.
  3. Cardio health. With a family history of heart disease, it feels good to give my ticker a work out.
  4. The brightness of the fitness studio. It’s a great start to any day, and the views are wonderful.
  5. Being close to Preston’s. After my workout, I drop in to get milk and buy pomegranates on my way to work. The owners are lovely people.
  6. Improved flexibility: I am a well-known klutz. I had a fall early in the winter and managed to partially do the splits. I banged my knee, put I didn’t lose my balance and hit my head. I am pretty sure that a couple of years ago, I would not have fared so well. Let’s hear it for falling down well!
  7. Everything is better in the Glen…even the cemeteries are better here. I have been a “Glen Wanna-be” for a long time. Working out here three times a week makes me feel like a Glen resident, even though I sleep in Ballinafad. šŸ™‚
